Support for Schools in Lockdown

We’re delighted to have been able to help young people in the New Forest’s schools during lockdown with donations totalling more than £15,000.
We’ve been hearing just what these donations have meant to these pupils. We received this lovely message from Heather Jolly, Assistant Headteacher at Ringwood School:
Thanks to Olivia Inspires’ generous donation, we have been able to buy seven laptops to give to students to support their learning now and in the future.
The laptops have all gone to students who have worked exceptionally hard throughout these difficult last few months, despite having limited or no access to technology at home.
This donation will mean they are able to access work from home, catch up on anything they have missed over the last few months, and continue to work hard towards their GCSEs and bright futures beyond.
Thank you Olivia Inspires; you really are making such a difference in our local community.
We also recently received a letter from The Arnewood School’s Mike Gough. In it he said:
“I would like to thank you for the very kind support that you have given to five of our students.
The support of Olivia Inspires will enable these students to have a better educational experience by having the technology to access the wide range of lessons and resources that the teachers of The Arnewood School are providing online, for all students, in these difficult times.
I know that the students would also like to thank you.”
Students at Hounsdown School were also helped with funding to buy seven laptops. Assistant Headteacher, Belinda Langley-Bliss said:
“Our school motto, ‘Be The Best That You Can Be’ is embraced by our school community; where we want every student to achieve their personal best regardless of prior attainment, and their circumstances outside of school.
The donation from ‘Olivia Inspires’ made a huge difference to the laptop provision that we have been able to offer students during these unprecedented times.
As a school, we continue to do all we can, but this donation has made a real difference to the learning support we can offer and the progress of some our most disadvantaged students.
Thank you so much again from Hounsdown School.”
